- Difficulty: Very easy
- Cost: Very economical
- Rest time: 10 Minutes
- Preparation time: 5 Minutes
- Portions: 2
- Cooking methods: No bake
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All seasons
Ingredients
- 8.8 oz ricotta
- as needed sweetener (I used sucralose)
- 4 unsweetened cocoa powder
- 0.35 oz 70% dark chocolate (optional)
Steps
The chocolate ricotta recipe is really quick and very easy, to make with the kids if you want. The only caution you need in this recipe is the use of sweetener. Yes, because depending on the sweetener used, the doses will change, so use one that you know and naturally like the taste of.
The preparation is indeed very simple: pour the ricotta into a bowl, add the sweetener a little at a time, and mix gently. You don’t need a mixer or anything similar, just a simple spoon or spatula will do. Do the same with the cocoa. Once you’ve achieved the desired taste and finished with the cocoa, place your chocolate ricotta cream in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Before serving, you can enrich it with dark chocolate shavings as I did, or chopped hazelnuts if you prefer.

The recipe is designed to be made with sweetener, but if you really don’t like it, you can use powdered sugar. The amount will be dictated by your personal taste.
