A simple way to get kids to love fish? Make it tasty, easy to eat, and “fun” to prepare! It seems trivial, but it isn’t.
For some strange reason, kids are usually not fond of whole fish or fillets.
I thought of making it tasty by combining it with other ingredients they enjoy. Easy to eat in the sense that they don’t have to “depend” on an adult to clean the fish for them, but they are completely autonomous. Finally, fun for 2 reasons: 1. they have to “unwrap” the ribbon holding the spiral, 2. you can prepare them together with them. The recipe is simple, and you can let them help you or simply watch while your little helpers prepare it.

Ingredients
- 21 oz sea bass (fillets)
- 3.3 lbs potatoes
- 10.5 oz cherry tomatoes
- 7 oz grated Parmesan cheese
- 7 oz breadcrumbs
- 1.8 oz parsley
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- to taste olive oil

To prepare the Baked Sea Bass Spirals with Potatoes and Cherry Tomatoes, you need:
- 1 Parchment paper
- 1 Kitchen twine
- Tweezers fish bone tweezers
Steps
Preparing the sea bass this way is very simple and quick!
The first thing to do is check for any bones in the fillets and remove them with the fish bone tweezers. Apply slight pressure with your fingers on the fillet, while using the tweezers to gently remove the bones to avoid tearing the fillet and ruining the fish. If you find it difficult, don’t insist. Use a knife to cut near the bone and try again.
Lay the fillets well spaced on the work surface. This way you can fill more of them at once.
Spread a layer of breadcrumbs on the surface, then season with Parmesan, salt, pepper, and parsley.

Cut the kitchen twine to a length at least equal to the fillet’s length. Roll the sea bass fillet onto itself starting from the smaller end. Secure the spiral with the twine by making a small bow. This makes it easy and quick to remove once the fish is cooked.
Proceed with all the fillets. Pour about two fingers of water onto the baking tray, then lay the parchment paper and distribute the sea bass spirals evenly spaced.
Season the outside with the same ingredients: breadcrumbs, Parmesan, salt, pepper, parsley, and finally a drizzle of oil.
Preheat the oven to 356°F and proceed with preparing the seasoning. Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes, trying to keep the same size for even cooking. Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half.
Pour the potatoes and cherry tomatoes into a bowl, then season with salt, pepper, oil, and breadcrumbs.
Mix all the ingredients and distribute in the baking dish along with the sea bass fillets.
A final sprinkle of breadcrumbs, a drizzle of oil, 7 ounces (200 ml) of water, and bake in a preheated oven for 35 minutes at 356°F.
The baked sea bass spirals with potatoes and cherry tomatoes are ready to enjoy!
