Sunday morning is also this.. having breakfast with a homemade cake.
I made it WITHOUT FLOUR!
Yes, you heard right!
I bought some cookies that turned out to be disappointing and no one wanted them 😞
I obviously couldn’t throw them away and thought of using them to make a cake.
Also, we never run out of apples at home (they also come from school that the kids regularly bring 😂) and so here is the breakfast ready!
Note the ingredients and let’s prepare it together!

- 2/3 cup milk
- 3.5 oz butter
- 10.6 oz cookies
- as needed powdered sugar
Tools
- Cake Pan
- Sieve
- Bowl
- Whisk
Preparation
Preparing a flourless apple cake will be a breeze!
Take the apples, peel them, and slice them very thinly. Put them in a bowl and pour the juice of one lemon to prevent them from browning. Mix with your hands and set aside.
Preheat the oven to 356 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter and then pour it into the bowl with the other ingredients.
At this point, sift the baking powder and stir to incorporate it into the mixture.
Set the bowl aside for a few minutes and prepare the cookies.
Take a food bag and insert some cookies. Close it slightly and crush them on the surface with a rolling pin – if you don’t have one, you can also use the bottom of a saucepan. The cookies are in the bag so they won’t come into contact with what you’re using. Alternatively, you can use a food processor and simply grind them finely.
Take the bowl again, whisk again with the whisk, and gradually add the crushed cookies until they are all used up. Continue whisking until you get a homogeneous mixture.
Finally, add the apples and use a fork to mix everything well.
The oven has reached temperature. Take the cake pan, lightly butter it, and pour the mixture.
Place it on the lowest rack and bake for about 40 minutes at 356 degrees Fahrenheit.
Once baking is complete, slightly open the oven and prop the door with a wooden spoon. Let it cool to room temperature, then decorate with powdered sugar.
The cake is ready to serve!!
