Ingredients
- 4 slices sandwich bread
- 5.3 oz smoked salmon
- 7 oz stracciatella
Steps
The preparation of the Savory Christmas Log with Salmon and Stracciatella No Cooking is very simple and quick, watch the video HERE.
Place the slices of sandwich bread on a sheet of plastic wrap, slightly overlapping each other and flatten them well with a rolling pin to get an even rectangle. Spread a generous layer of stracciatella over the entire surface.
Distribute the slices of smoked salmon on top. With the help of the plastic wrap beneath, roll everything up to form a compact roll. Seal tightly like a candy and transfer to the refrigerator for at least 2–3 hours, so it will set.
Once set, remove the ends of the roll for a clean result. Cut a slice diagonally and place it on the side of the roll to create the ‘branch’ effect typical of the log. Cover the entire log with stracciatella. Decorate as desired with dill, pink pepper, aromatic herbs, or thin slices of lemon.
Storage:
Store the log in the refrigerator, well covered, for 1 day. Not recommended to freeze it.
