Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1 3/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 2 tsp salt
- 5.3 oz scamorza (sliced)
- 5.3 oz cooked ham
How to Make Ham and Cheese Bread
Pour the sifted flour into a bowl, add the yeast, then start pouring in the lukewarm water, and finally add the salt.
Knead everything well until a smooth and homogeneous dough is formed, then cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest for at least 1 hour in the oven turned off with the light on.
After the rising time, transfer the dough to a floured surface and divide it into 7 pieces. Roll out each dough ball with a rolling pin, then add the cooked ham and sliced cheese.
Close the dough towards the center, sealing the edges well.
After all the ingredients have been used, lightly roll out each pocket with the rolling pin.
Cook your ham and cheese bread in a skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side. Serve hot and gooey!
