  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar

Steps for Preparing and Cooking the Apple and Jam Pockets:

  • Peel the apple, cut it in half, remove the core, and with a mandoline with large holes grate it directly into a bowl, add the granulated sugar and cinnamon powder to your taste, mix well.

  • Unroll the rectangular puff pastry sheet, cut it in half lengthwise, and then into four parts the two halves obtaining 8 rectangles.

    On one half of the rectangles make parallel cuts, on the uncut part put some apricot jam (or other flavor you prefer) and then the seasoned apples (do not add the liquid that has formed), fold the part with the cuts over the filling and seal the three sides well.

  • Place the pockets on the air fryer grill (you will need to cook in batches if you have a small fryer like ours), brush the surface with milk and add a generous sprinkle of granulated sugar.

    Cook at 356°F for 10 minutes until golden.

    Let the pockets cool before consuming, if you like, you can dust with powdered sugar before serving.
