Cheese Vol-au-Vent

Cheese vol-au-vent are delightful appetizers for the holidays, very easy to make.

Delicious puff pastry baskets filled with a delicate cheese mousse, embellished with oil-preserved sun-dried tomatoes and capers, perfect for enhancing the holiday appetizer buffet, rich in flavor, tasty, and irresistible, ideal for accompanying the aperitif.

Ingredients

  • 10 vol-au-vent
  • 3.5 oz spreadable cheese
  • 1.75 oz Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1 tbsp cooking cream
  • 10 oil-preserved sun-dried tomatoes
  • 10 capers

Preparation of Cheese Vol-au-Vent

  • In a mixer, place the spreadable cheese, grated cheese, and cooking cream and operate the appliance until you have a homogeneous mixture.
    Put the obtained mixture in a bowl, cover it with plastic wrap to seal it, and place it in the refrigerator for at least thirty minutes.

  • Drain the tomatoes from their preserving oil and the capers from the vinegar.
    After the resting time, put the prepared mixture in a pastry bag, or distribute it with two teaspoons to fill the vol-au-vent.

  • Complete with an oil-preserved sun-dried tomato (rolled up like a little rose) and a caper.
    Serve your cheese vol-au-vent or store them in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
