Ingredients

  • 4 mozzarella balls
  • 3 tomatoes
  • to taste basil
  • 1 slice ham
  • to taste black olives

Steps

Preparation of the Christmas Caprese Santa Claus version

  • To prepare the Santa Claus Caprese version, start by thoroughly washing the tomatoes and basil.

Slice the tomatoes thinly and do the same with the mozzarella. On a serving plate or board, assemble Santa’s face starting from the hat by alternating the tomato slices as in the photo.
Add a slice of ham to create the face, arrange the mozzarella around it, use a slice to create the pom-pom of the hat and one to create the mustache (divide it in half first) and finally focus on the eyes, nose, and mouth.

For the beard, arrange the basil leaves at the base, creating a voluminous effect. Now your Santa Claus is ready to be served!

    Merry Christmas!

Tips

The Santa Claus Caprese version is a dish that is best served fresh, right after preparation. However, if you need to prepare it in advance, here’s how to store it:

Place the Caprese on a plate, cover it with plastic wrap, and store in the refrigerator. Consume within a few hours to maintain the freshness of the ingredients.

Add the basil at the last moment: leave room for Santa Claus’s beard on the plate and add the fresh basil only before serving, so it will remain vibrant and crunchy.
