Ingredients
- 2 mackerels (about 11.6 oz cleaned)
- 2 onions (about 8.5 oz)
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- salt
- pepper
What You Need to Cook Mackerel with Onions in Jar Cooking
- 1 Microwave
- 1 Jar one-liter with thin seal
How to Prepare Mackerel with Onions in Jar Cooking in the Microwave
Take the mackerels, clean and fillet them. If you’re not able, have your trusted fishmonger do this for you.
Place the mackerel fillets on a cutting board and lightly flour them.
Clean the onions, slice them very thinly, then sauté them, in a pan or in the microwave, with a little oil and salt until they soften.
Place a tablespoon of sautéed onion at the bottom of a one-liter jar with a thin seal.
Lay two mackerel fillets on the onions and season with a little oil, salt, and pepper.
Add more sautéed onions and finish with the remaining two fish fillets.
Cover with the remaining onion, also add a teaspoon of vinegar, a splash of oil.
Flavor with more salt and pepper.
Close the jar with its lid with seal and seal with the 4 clips as per Instructions for cooking in jar with the microwave.
Cook in the microwave, at your tested power (I use 600 W) for 8 minutes.
At the end of the cooking, remove the jar carefully, and let it rest closed until consumption.
When you want to enjoy it, just heat it in the microwave without clamps for 4 minutes, pull the seal, and serve!
