Preparation and Cooking Steps for Whole Wheat Rolls with Chestnuts and Dried Fruit:
In a bowl, put the warm water, add the honey and stir well to dissolve it, add the dry yeast and stir well to get a lump-free liquid mixture.
Prepare the dried fruit:
– soak the raisins in warm water for about ten minutes, then remove the water and dry them well
– chop the walnuts not too finely
– cut the dried figs into pieces
– dice the boiled chestnuts
In a large bowl, put the whole wheat flour and the all-purpose flour, stir well with a spoon, add the previously prepared yeast and start mixing the ingredients, then add the salt and the prepared dried fruit.
Knead the mixture well with your hands to form a homogeneous dough that you will let rise until it doubles in size (approximately 2/3 hours depending on the warmth of your home).
When the dough has risen, transfer it to a floured pastry board, make a few reinforcement folds, divide it into 4 parts, and form 4 rolls, score them on the surface, and place them on the air fryer rack lined with perforated parchment paper.
Let them rise for 30 minutes.
Preheat the air fryer, then cook at 320°F for about 25 minutes; they should be golden.
Let them cool before consuming.
