Kale with instant pot, a quick way to cook large quantities of kale. Star of the ribollita with instant pot, kale is one of the most challenging vegetables to cook, both for its volume and its low water content. Like boiled potatoes in instant pot and Brussels sprouts in multicooker, kale cooked in the multicooker is also quick and practical to make.
If you’re thinking that kale only goes well in soups and stews, I’ll let you in on a secret… it’s great seasoned with oil and lemon, or sautéed with garlic, oil, and chili pepper.
If you want to preserve this vegetable, try the jar-cooked kale. Here’s another anti-waste idea for you: the central stem of kale is excellent for making vegetable broth in the multicooker.

How to Cook Kale in a Pressure Cooker
Remove the central stem of the kale by grasping the leaf part in one hand and holding the central stem in the other. Rinse the kale leaves by immersing them in water, drain them, and then chop them roughly on a cutting board.
Place the kale in the electric pressure cooker and press it down with your hands, add salt and pour in the water.
Close the pot with the appropriate pressure cooking lid, ensure the valve is closed, and program the cooking for 8 minutes with medium power pressure function.
At the end of the cooking, let the pot rest closed and then depressurize. The kale is ready for all your recipes or to be enjoyed as is.
How to Store Cooked Kale in the Instant Pot
Kale can be stored for a couple of days in the refrigerator, placed in an airtight container.
