  • 1 scream mask

Preparation of Halloween Scream Cake

  • Let’s see how to prepare the Scream Cake.

First, open the puff pastry and leave it on its parchment paper, pour the Nutella and spread it on half the pastry, spreading well to the edges, cover with the other half of the puff pastry, press a little to adhere well. If you have a scream mask, copy it onto a piece of paper, cutting out the eyes, nose, and mouth. Do not discard the cutout pieces. Place the cutout mask on the pastry and with the help of a pastry wheel, cut the dough following the design, cut out the eyes, nose, and mouth with a knife, and remove only the top layer of dough. If the Nutella shifts, adjust with a teaspoon. Place on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes. Once cooked, let it cool, and once cooled, place the pieces you cut off on top of the cake covering the eyes, nose, and mouth, and sprinkle generously with powdered sugar, remove the paper, and your cake is ready. Serve with Halloween decorations. Have a monstrous and sweet Halloween.

Notes

When serving the cake, I recommend warming it up for a few minutes; it will be even better, but it is also good cold. If there are leftovers, store in the turned-off oven for up to a maximum of 2 days. Just warm it up for a few minutes to make it crispy again.
