Salami trees are a quick appetizer for the Christmas holidays, no cooking required and very easy to prepare.

Ingredients
- 2 slices Milano salami
- 1 pickled gherkin
- fontina cheese (for the star)
Preparation of Salami Trees
Take a 6-inch wooden skewer.
Fold the salami slices into quarters.Cut out a small star with a cookie cutter from a piece of cheese.
Pierce the gherkin through the center with the skewer and slide it down to form the base, then skewer one slice of salami at a time and finish with the cheese star.
Create as many salami trees as you desire in the same manner.
