Salami Trees

Salami trees are a quick appetizer for the Christmas holidays, no cooking required and very easy to prepare.

Just a few minutes for a simple appetizer that everyone, adults and children, will love. Perfect to include in holiday menus or to accompany a Christmas-themed aperitif.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices Milano salami
  • 1 pickled gherkin
  • fontina cheese (for the star)

Preparation of Salami Trees

  • Take a 6-inch wooden skewer.
    Fold the salami slices into quarters.

  • Cut out a small star with a cookie cutter from a piece of cheese.

  • Pierce the gherkin through the center with the skewer and slide it down to form the base, then skewer one slice of salami at a time and finish with the cheese star.
    Create as many salami trees as you desire in the same manner.
