Matcha Latte or Cappuccino, not your usual breakfast, but a boost of energy to start the day off right.

I’ll explain right away why I’ve introduced this Japanese tea into my diet, not to give advice, for which I always refer you to the in-depth article by Humanitas Research Hospital.

I’ve introduced it both for its properties but mostly because I really like its flavor, I use it in many other recipes such as porridge, tiramisu, and even soups.

Today I propose two vegan versions since I used a plant-based milk, almond milk, to prepare these recipes.

Ingredients

  • 3/8 cup hot water
  • 1 teaspoon Matcha (2 grams)
  • 1 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 3/8 cup hot water

  • 1 coffee capsule (can be replaced with a cup of coffee)

  • 1 Coffee Machine
  • 1 Cup

Steps

  • Bring 80 ml of water to boiling or use your coffee machine to get hot water.

  • Pour a teaspoon of Matcha and stir.

  • Dissolve the tea well in the water.

  • Use the milk function on the coffee machine or use an immersion blender to froth the milk.

  • Mix and combine.

  • Follow all the steps for preparing the milk and add the coffee, using a pod if using the coffee machine or a cup of coffee prepared with the moka.
