Matcha Latte or Cappuccino, not your usual breakfast, but a boost of energy to start the day off right.
I’ll explain right away why I’ve introduced this Japanese tea into my diet, not to give advice, for which I always refer you to the in-depth article by Humanitas Research Hospital.
I’ve introduced it both for its properties but mostly because I really like its flavor, I use it in many other recipes such as porridge, tiramisu, and even soups.
Today I propose two vegan versions since I used a plant-based milk, almond milk, to prepare these recipes.
Francy’s curiosity: I don’t know if you know, but matcha is a powdered green tea. It appeared in Japan about 1000 years ago and is used in the Tea Ceremony which is based on four basic concepts, perhaps lost in today’s society, which are harmony, respect, purity, and tranquility.
If like me, you love Japanese culture, which is indeed made up of harmony, kindness, and respect for others, I suggest this beautiful institutional site that will allow you to get lots of information.
