Preparation of Bread Doves

Let’s see how to prepare the doves.

Once the dough is ready and risen, cut a piece and roll it into a round loaf. Cut small pieces and form balls that will create the head; of course, the size is up to you, based on how you prefer them. I made them the size of a normal bun. Roll another round loaf, cut a piece about 4/5 inches, place it on parchment paper, take the two ends, and cross them, leaving them outside. Make two cuts with a knife on each end to form the tail. Take the prepared balls and position them on top of the hole formed by crossing the dough. Use your fingers to form a small beak, take the olives and cut them into tiny pieces, brush a little milk or oil on the surface of the doves, cover with sesame seeds, take two pieces of olive and make the eyes by pressing a bit so they don’t fall off. Let rise for half an hour and bake in the preheated oven at 356°F and cook for 10-15 minutes. Serve the doves on a small plate for each guest.

Notes

You can use any whole wheat, semi-whole wheat, multi-grain dough, in short, any dough works.
