Steps for air fryer caramelized apples
Soak the raisins in a container full of hot water
To prepare the delicious air fryer caramelized apples, start by peeling the apples. Cut them in half, remove the core and seeds
Slice them into not too thin wedges, about 0.4 inches thick, and drizzle them with the juice of one lemon, this prevents oxidation
Place them on an air fryer baking pan lined with parchment paper and sprinkle with cinnamon
Add the raisins, pine nuts, and honey and mix everything together
Bake at 356°F for 15-16 minutes and turn halfway through cooking. If they dry out too much, add a splash of water. They should be soft inside and caramelized on the outside.
Decorate with walnut granules and mint leaves and serve warm or at room temperature and… enjoy from Barbara!
Storage
Store the air fryer cooked apples in an airtight container once they are at room temperature, in the fridge for two days
You can freeze them only if you haven’t used honey, but sugar, because honey tends to crystallize.
Place the slices on a tray lined with parchment paper, freeze for 2 hours, then transfer to a freezer bag.
Duration: up to 1 month.
Thaw in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours, then reheat in the air fryer at 320°F for 5 minutes.
