Marinated Salmon and Avocado Tartare

The recipe for Marinated Salmon and Avocado Tartare has such a fresh taste that makes it simply suitable for the heat of this period. Moreover, the beneficial properties of avocado combined with those of salmon make this tasty dish a great source of well-being for our health. If you buy salmon already pre-treated, even frozen it is fine, the preparation of this dish will be very quick.

I usually buy fresh salmon, which I have cleaned and filleted by my trusted fishmonger. After portioning it, I put it in the freezer for about 4 days before using it for my raw fish dishes…

Marinated salmon and avocado tartare
  • Difficulty: Very easy
  • Cost: Economical
  • Preparation time: 15 Minutes
  • Portions: 4 servings
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 9 oz pre-treated salmon
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 juice of one lemon
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • bread croutons

Preparation

  • First of all, organize your workspace with all the ingredients, already measured, so that you have everything at hand.

Cut the avocado in half, remove the central pit, and peel it gently to avoid waste.

Cut it into small pieces, place it in a bowl, season with salt, and drizzle with the juice of half a lemon.

Now prepare the salmon fillet: cut it into strips lengthwise, then into very small cubes.

Place it in a bowl, season with the juice of half a lemon, salt, pepper, and also extra virgin olive oil.

Mix well, and taste to better define the flavor.

Now place a pastry cutter, round or square, on the plate where you will portion your recipe.

Insert a layer of avocado, then immediately after, one of salmon, and remove the pastry cutter.

Do the same for each portion.

After this operation, decorate with whole peppercorns, preferably those from Madagascar, as they are more intense and aromatic, and thin slices of lemon.

Serve your Marinated Salmon and Avocado Tartare, accompanied by warm bread croutons, to have a good contrast with this typically cold dish.

Notes

Tip: If you want to make the recipe less elegant and perhaps easier to organize, you can make an avocado cream: blend it together with the other ingredients, spread it on the bread croutons, and finally place the seasoned salmon pieces on top.
