Christmas Tree Pandoro.
For those with a sweet tooth, the combination of pandoro and mascarpone cream is perfect, I would say super delicious. Easy and quick to prepare. Your guests will be very happy. Great for New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day.
- Difficulty: Very easy
- Cost: Medium
- Preparation time: 20 Minutes
- Portions: 10 people
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 1 Pandoro
- 2 cups Mascarpone
- 3 Eggs
- 1.75 oz 70% Dark Chocolate
- 1 Pat of butter
- 1/2 cup Sugar
Preparation
Lay the pandoro flat and cut it into slices.
Separate the yolks from the whites. Beat the yolks with the sugar, add the mascarpone at room temperature. Whip the egg whites until stiff and then add them to the mascarpone, mixing from bottom to top to avoid deflating the whites. At this point, start filling each layer of pandoro, staggering them to form the tree. Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie and add a pat of butter. When it’s nice and liquid, pour over the pandoro as desired.
Notes
I used chocolate, but you can also decorate with colorful candied fruit to make it look like a real Christmas tree. If there’s any leftover, it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two days.
