Air Fryer Potato Chips

They are absolutely the most loved snacks for both adults and children, enjoyed as an appetizer, snack break, etc., but we also know that they are not exactly healthy…. So why not make them yourself in a more genuine way? Today I propose air fryer potato chips that are crunchy and super light without too much fat, this way you can enjoy all the chips you want without even having a fried smell in the house and maintaining a healthier diet especially for children. You can season the chips to your liking with all the spices you prefer, but in this recipe, I wanted to keep them classic with just some salt. So all that’s left is to try and taste!!

  • Difficulty: Very Easy
  • Cost: Very Inexpensive
  • Preparation time: 30 Minutes
  • Portions: 2 People
  • Cooking methods: Air Frying
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 4 potatoes
  • salt
  • oil

Tools

  • Mandoline
  • Air Fryers

Steps

  • First, clean and slice the potatoes preferably with a mandoline to have the same thickness and cut them very thin.

  • Soak them in water and let them rest for about 30 minutes to remove some starch.

  • After the time has passed, drain them and dry them with paper towels.

  • Turn on the air fryer and preheat it with the program if you have it or at a temperature of 392°F for 10 minutes to have more even cooking.
Then season the potatoes with some oil and salt and place them in the basket.

  • Cook for 20 minutes at 392°F. Avoid overcrowding the basket and remember to turn them halfway through cooking.

  • Your air fryer potato chips are ready!!

Storage

Homemade chips are best eaten fresh, but they can be stored in an airtight container and briefly reheated in an air fryer before serving.
