Today I propose a very simple recipe, the stuffed potatoes in an air fryer, a tasty dish that everyone really likes. The ease in this preparation is also the way the potatoes are cooked thanks to the air fryer which reduces cooking time by creating an irresistible crust on the surface, while leaving the inside creamy…you can decide to stuff them in different ways to please everyone a little, they can be vegetarian, rustic, meat-filled, etc. They are perfect as a main dish or served as a surprising appetizer. I used only two ingredients for the filling, cheese slices and ham, very light but very tasty. So all that’s left is to try and taste!
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Cheap
- Preparation time: 20 Minutes
- Portions: 4
- Cooking methods: Boiling, Air Frying
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 4 potatoes
- 4 slices cheese slices
- 3.5 oz ham
- to taste salt
- to taste breadcrumbs
- to taste grated parmesan
- oil
Tools
- Air Fryer
- Containers
Steps
First, put water in the pot, add the potatoes, and cook for a maximum of 10 minutes from when the water starts boiling. Check the potatoes with the prongs of a fork to see if you can pierce them halfway; they should remain firm.
After cooking, drain them, let them cool, and then peel them.
Then cut the potatoes in half vertically and scoop out the inside.
Sprinkle a little salt inside the potatoes.
Take the inside part and put it in the food processor.
Chop finely.
Add the chopped ham and cheese slices in pieces.
Blend until you get a creamy mixture.
Then fill the potatoes.
Prepare the air fryer basket with parchment paper and place the potatoes inside.
Finish with a handful of parmesan and breadcrumbs, then add a drizzle of oil.
Preheat the air fryer using the program if you have it, otherwise set it to 392°F (200°C) for 5 minutes. Then lower or set the temperature to 356°F (180°C) and cook for 30 minutes.
Storage
You can store the stuffed potatoes in the fridge covered with plastic wrap or in an airtight container until the next day.
Notes
If you don’t have an air fryer, you can easily proceed with cooking in a traditional oven, adjusting the cooking time which may extend by about 15 minutes.
