Linguine with Shrimp Sauce

The linguine with shrimp sauce, one of the most chosen dishes for Christmas Eve or holidays. A main course that is always present in restaurants, be it spaghetti, linguine, or fresh pasta. Usually, this first course is not found with sauce, but with cherry tomatoes. They are shellfish that can be found frozen or fresh, both good. In this recipe, I cleaned the shrimp by removing the shell, sautéing them with oil and garlic, and then cooking them in tomato puree. I can’t describe the aroma it gives off while cooking!! Ingredients

  • 1.1 lbs shrimp
  • 3 cups tomato puree
  • 14 oz linguine
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Half glass white wine
  • oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Steps

  • Take the shrimp, wash them, and remove the legs.

  • Use a knife to make an incision along the inner part of the shrimp.

  • With the inner part of the shrimp facing up, pull the sides of the shell outward.

  • Turn the shrimp over and pull from the tail to remove the shell.

  • After cleaning all the shrimp, place oil and garlic in a pan.

  • Sauté.

  • When the garlic is golden, add the shrimp.

  • Let them flavor for 1 minute.

  • At this point, deglaze with wine over moderate heat.

  • Allow the wine to evaporate. Remove the shrimp and set them aside.

  • Add tomato puree, salt, and pepper. Cover and cook for 30 minutes.

  • Put the shrimp in the sauce and cook for another 10 minutes.

  • Adjust the sauce with salt. Cook the linguine, drain them al dente, and toss. Finish with a sprinkle of pepper, if you like.

  • The linguine with shrimp sauce is ready. Enjoy your meal!!

Advice

You can store raw shrimp in the fridge for up to 1 day. The prepared sauce can be kept in the fridge for a couple of days. As an alternative to linguine, you can use spaghetti.
