- Difficulty: Very Easy
- Preparation time: 15 Minutes
- Cooking methods: Oven
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All Seasons
Ingredients
- 2 rolls puff pastry
- 1 3/4 cups cherry tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 1.5 oz scamorza cheese
- 1 potato
- 0.7 oz feta cheese
- to taste extra virgin olive oil
Steps
Start by unrolling the puff pastry, then divide each sheet into 4 rectangles.
Round off the ends with a knife.
At this point, fill as you like. I made one with thinly sliced potatoes, seasoned with salt, oregano, and Parmesan.
I filled another with sliced scamorza cheese and cherry tomatoes seasoned with salt, oregano, and oil.
The last version is with thinly sliced, pre-cooked onion, and finally, add the cheese.
Put everything in the oven and bake at 375°F for about 12 minutes.
Tips
Puff Pastry Tongues can be made in many different ways, for example, with zucchini, tomato sauce, and mozzarella, or with fresh mushrooms and bacon. Puff pastry dough can be replaced with ready-made pizza dough.
