  • Cooking methods: Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients

  • 1 roll puff pastry
  • to taste olives
  • to taste pancetta
  • to taste cheese
  • to taste milk
  • to taste crushed pistachios

Tools

  • Pastry wheel

Steps

  • Unroll the round puff pastry and cut it first into 4 wedges, then into 8, then into 16 and finally into 32 thin triangular pieces.

Fill each triangle as you like. I used ham, cheese, pancetta, hot dogs, olives.
Roll each triangle from the base toward the tip to form the mini croissants.
Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with milk and, if you like, add the crushed pistachios.

  • Bake in a conventional oven at 356°F for 15–20 minutes, until they become golden and crispy.

Storage

Store the mini savory croissants in the refrigerator for 2 days, sealed in an airtight container. Reheat them for a few minutes in the oven or in an air fryer to make them crispy again.
They can also be frozen raw and baked when needed (add 3–4 minutes of cooking time).
