Pasta with Whipped Cream

Pasta with Whipped Cream, yes… you heard me right.
This is not the usual pasta with cream. It’s a creamy, finger-licking dish that you can prepare in no time! I paired it with some crispy guanciale to make it even more flavorful!

I’ll just say that my husband loves it and always asks for seconds, so I always make a bit more pasta!

My tip that makes all the difference is this: lightly whip the cream before using it.
Because when you whip it, the cream maintains that soft consistency that transforms into a spectacular creamy sauce when mixed with the hot pasta.

A super enveloping first course, good both freshly made and after!
Try it; success is guaranteed. Come with me, and let’s start cooking right away.

Happy cooking, Giusi.

Ingredients for Pasta with Whipped Cream

  • 10.5 oz pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream (You can find it in the refrigerated section)
  • 4.2 oz guanciale
  • to taste spices

Steps for Pasta with Whipped Cream

  • First, put the water for the pasta to boil. In the meantime, in a pan, brown the guanciale until it is crispy. Drain it, place it on absorbent paper, and set it aside.

While the pasta is cooking, pour the cream into a bowl and lightly whip it (it should become creamy, not too stiff, that’s the secret of the final creamy sauce).

Pour the whipped cream into the pan where you browned the guanciale. Add your preferred spices. Bring the pan to the stovetop and heat the mixture over low heat, without letting it boil.

When the pasta is almost cooked (remove it 2-3 minutes before the end of cooking), drain it and pour it directly into the pan with the hot cream.

At first, it will seem like the pasta is “drowning” in the cream, but don’t worry! Let it blend for 2-3 minutes, stirring well until the cream sets and completely envelops the pasta, making it super creamy.

Plate the pasta and finish the dish by placing the crispy guanciale on top.

  • The pasta with whipped cream is ready to be enjoyed.
