Ingredients for the Last Minute Cake with 3 Ingredients
- 1 roll of puff pastry
- 3 tablespoons hazelnut cream
- 2.1 oz chopped hazelnuts
- 1 egg
Steps for the Last Minute Cake with 3 Ingredients
Unroll the puff pastry. Place a glass in the center. Spread the hazelnut cream around the glass and then the chopped hazelnuts. Remove the glass leaving a hole in the center. Fold the outer edges and also the inner edges (those near the hole) towards the inside, creating small pleats or seals (as shown in the photo).
Brush the edges (both outer and inner) with the beaten egg and sprinkle more chopped hazelnuts.
Bake at 356 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 minutes. Check frequently after 25 minutes until completely golden.
And here is the result: a crunchy and creamy cake that looks like it took hours to make, but is actually ready in a flash!
It’s perfect for impressing without the stress. Try it and let me know in the comments how your guests react!
A big hug and see you in the next recipe!
Storage
This cake is best freshly baked, but if there are leftovers, it can be stored at room temperature (under a cake dome) for 1-2 days. If it’s really warm, you can store it in the refrigerator, but it’s advisable to slightly reheat it before serving to restore the puff pastry’s crispness.
