Ingredients
- 18 oz broccoli rabe
- 9 oz canned cannellini beans
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 chili pepper
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt

Preparation
After removing the outer and damaged leaves, wash the broccoli rabe well under running water.
Boil them in salted boiling water for about 7-8 minutes, drain, and chop coarsely.
Peel the garlic and sauté it in a skillet with a chili pepper and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
Add the broccoli rabe and let them absorb the flavors over medium heat for a few minutes (1).
Drain the cannellini beans and rinse them. Add them to the skillet, adjust the salt, and mix (2).
Remove the garlic and continue cooking for another 5 minutes to allow the beans to absorb the flavors of the broccoli rabe.
Your side dish of broccoli rabe and beans in a skillet is ready, you can serve it hot or at room temperature.
Tips and Notes
You can use either cannellini beans or borlotti beans. If you have time, you can use dried ones and cook them in water until tender.
