Ingredients for Lemon-Flavored Shortcrust Pastry

With these quantities, you’ll get about 30 cookies or a tart with a diameter of 9.5 inches.

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2/5 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 lemon (grated zest)

Steps for Lemon-Flavored Shortcrust Pastry

  • In a bowl, work the eggs, sugar, oil, and a pinch of salt with a fork.
    Add the grated lemon zest.
    Pour in the flour and baking powder, previously sifted.
    Work all the ingredients until you create a homogeneous dough. If necessary, add more flour.

  • Now, you can decide whether to create a tart or make cookies.
    Baking Times:
    Bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F.
    For a Tart: Bake for 35-40 minutes approximately. (The exact time depends on the quantity and type of filling you choose to use).
    For Cookies: Bake for 10-13 minutes approximately.
