  • Portions: 6 Pieces
  • Cooking methods: Air Frying
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients for pastry sheets with Kinder in the air fryer:

  • 1 sheet rectangular puff pastry
  • 16 Kinder bars
  • as needed whole milk (or 1 egg yolk)
  • as needed granulated sugar
  • as needed sugar crystals (optional)
  • as needed powdered sugar

Tools for pastry sheets with Kinder in the air fryer:

  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Air Fryer

Steps for preparing and cooking pastry sheets with Kinder:

  • Unroll the puff pastry sheet, then divide it in half and place 4 Kinder bars on one side and 4 Kinder bars on the other. Then, using a knife, cut the pastry between each bar, obtaining 4 rectangles.

Take a pastry with chocolates and then form the sheets by folding one side of the puff pastry with the chocolate to cover the chocolate and on the other side do the same procedure but folding twice. Repeat the same procedure with the other three pieces available.

  • With the remaining rectangle of puff pastry, divide it into two parts. In the center, place one or two chocolates, then make vertical cuts on each sheet aligned with the chocolate, then make cuts on the long side of the puff pastry and braid the various strips to form a braid. Repeat the same procedure with the other piece of pastry.

(We recommend watching the video at the beginning of the recipe to see how easy it is to prepare these sheets).

  • Place the sheets on the fryer rack, brush them with milk or beaten egg yolk (if you prefer a more golden finish after baking), add some granulated sugar and sugar crystals.

Cook in the fryer at 340°F for 12 minutes.

Let the sheets cool before serving and dust them with powdered sugar before enjoying.

Advice:

If you prefer, you can make only the non-braided ones. In this case, you’ll have 8 sheets or 4 braided sheets, depending on your taste.
