Five Grains Bread: making bread has never been so easy! The flour I used is a five grain flour, I can’t even describe the aroma.
This five grains bread is perfect, ideal to fill with cold cuts, to enjoy with cheeses, or perfect to enrich with jams. In a few simple steps, your house will smell of goodness and genuineness.
I kneaded everything with the stand mixer, but you can easily do these steps by hand.
Let’s start “messing around”!
Enjoy the recipe, Giusi.

Ingredients for the Five Grains Bread
- 4 cups Five grains flour
- 1 ¼ cups water
- 1 packet instant yeast (7 grams)
- 1 tbsp fine salt
Steps for the Five Grains Bread
I used the stand mixer to knead, but working the dough by hand will work just fine.
Pour the flour and yeast into the bowl.
Start pouring the water slowly while kneading well until fully absorbed.
Once a mass has formed, add the salt and continue kneading energetically. The dough will be very soft, but perfectly workable.
Place the dough inside a large bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let rise for about 3/4 hours.
After the rising time, pour the dough onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Slightly flatten the dough with the tips of your fingers to create a rectangular shape (or the shape you prefer).
Bake at 430°F in the preheated static oven for 35-40 minutes.
Of course, the cooking time varies based on the shape you decide to give to the bread!
The Bread is Served!
After the cooking time, take out your wonderful five grains bread. The aroma that will invade your kitchen is the first reward! I recommend letting it cool on a rack before cutting it: this way the crust will remain crunchy.
This bread, prepared so simply, is perfect for any occasion: try it filled with your favorite cold cuts or cheeses, or maybe toasted for breakfast with a good jam.
I really hope you enjoyed this recipe.
See you at the next baking!
