Ingredients for Lemon Chicken in Air Fryer:
- 10.5 oz chicken breast
- 3.5 tbsp lemon juice
- to taste fine salt
- to taste black pepper
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3 tbsp cornmeal
- 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1 clove garlic

Steps for Preparing and Cooking Lemon Chicken:
Take the chicken breast (we recommend buying the whole chicken breast and preparing the strips yourself as it costs less than buying chicken breast slices), cut it into not too thin slices and then take the slices and cut them into strips.
In a bowl, put the lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil and add the chicken strips, the whole garlic clove, salt and pepper, mix well and let it rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, so that the meat is well flavored.
You can also prepare it in the morning to use it in the evening, this way the flavor will be more intense.
If you like, you can also add other spices, such as sweet paprika, finely chopped sage and rosemary.
In a large bowl, put the cornmeal and breadcrumbs, salt, and mix well. Add the chicken strips without the marinating liquid (do not dry the meat with paper towels as the breading would not stick to the meat).
With your hands, make sure the breading adheres well to all the chicken strips, transfer them to the grill of the air fryer, add a few sprays of extra virgin olive oil and cook at 340°F for about 20 minutes, turning them halfway through cooking.
If you have an air fryer with a door like ours, place the strips on the grill without holes and put it in the center of the fryer, cooking times and temperature remain unchanged, we recommend preheating the oven before use (in this model it happens automatically and when the fryer is at temperature it emits a sound and you put the tray inside the appliance).
At the end of cooking, they should be beautifully golden.
Serve them immediately while they are nice and hot.
