Ingredients
- 1/2 cup plain natural yogurt
- 3 teaspoons maple syrup
- 2 strawberries (chopped into small pieces)
- 1 vanilla wafer
- 3 teaspoons light cherry jam (and sour cherries)
Steps
Place the yogurt in a bowl.
Add two teaspoons of maple syrup and stir well.
Chop the strawberries into small pieces and add them to the yogurt. I found some wild strawberries and used those.
Now put it in the freezer for about two hours. Check it occasionally, it should not be completely frozen.
Take it out of the freezer and use a teaspoon to break up the ice pieces. Stir until it becomes soft, but not completely melted.
Add one teaspoon of maple syrup.
Stir well and put it back in the freezer for about half an hour. It may take less, it should solidify but not freeze.
Cover the surface with jam, I used sugar-free cherries and sour cherries.
Crumble a vanilla wafer on top. I cut it into small triangles.
If you prefer it colder, you can put it back in the freezer for a little longer, otherwise enjoy it as it is, it’s a delight!
Tips, Suggestions
You can also add some crumbled walnuts.
