Have you ever tried Chinese rice dumplings? They are truly delicious, the only precaution is to soak them at least 24 hours before consuming them. Of course, the time depends on the type of dumplings you purchase, so I recommend checking the instructions on the package before preparing them. The same goes for cooking the dumplings, in some cases they can be used without cooking, putting them directly in the wok with the vegetables, in other cases a quick boil is necessary. So check the procedure first.

Ingredients
- 28 oz rice dumplings
- to taste olive oil
- 1.87 lbs pork loin
- 1.5 cups carrots
- 1.5 cups onion
- 1 lbs cabbage (cabbage leaves)
- 1 cup miso
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 oz wine (rice wine)
- 6 tsp sugar
- 1.5 tbsp sunflower oil
- to taste ground ginger
- to taste black pepper (ground)
Steps
First, you need to soak the dumplings for at least 24 hours, or for the time indicated on the package. I recommend changing the water every 12 hours.
To prepare the sauce, simply mix all the ingredients starting with miso, then adding soy sauce, wine, sugar, ginger, and ground black pepper. Mix well to fully combine the ingredients.
When the dumplings are ready to be consumed, proceed with preparing the seasoning. Cut the pork loin into strips and cook it in a wok with a little olive oil.
Once cooked, set it aside on a plate.
Peel the onion, wash and peel the carrots. In the wok where you previously cooked the meat, cook the vegetables as well. First add the onion and carrots cut into strips, they should slightly soften.
Now wash the cabbage, remove the tougher core and the central rib. Also cut the cabbage into strips and add it to the vegetables inside the wok.
Pour a glass of water, cover, and cook until the vegetables are cooked but still crispy.
At this point, drain the rice dumplings using a colander or a slotted spoon and place them directly in the pan with the vegetables. For this step, check the instructions on the dumpling package, you might need to pre-boil them for a few minutes, so check first.
Pour the previously prepared sauce into the wok.
Stir well so the sauce coats all the ingredients. If anyone desires, they can add soy sauce or teriyaki sauce directly to their plate.
