Ingredients for the Vanilla Cake

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 eggs (At room temperature)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Vanilla flavoring (Vial)
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk (At room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

Tools

You can use a Round mold with a diameter of 9 inches

I used a square pan 8 x 8 inches.

Steps for the Vanilla Cake

  • Whisk the eggs and sugar with an electric mixer until you obtain a fluffy and frothy mixture.

  • Add the oil and milk gradually, along with the vanilla flavoring.
Also add the baking powder and flour in multiple additions.
Finish incorporating with a spatula or a wooden spoon, gently folding from bottom to top.

  • Once ready, pour the mixture into the buttered and floured 8×8 inch mold.

  • Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit in a preheated static oven for about 35 minutes, always do the toothpick test.

Let it cool completely inside the mold.

  • The simple vanilla cake is ready.

  • To make the chocolate glaze, you’ll need 200 g of melted dark chocolate and 100 ml of fresh liquid cream. Melt the chocolate and add the liquid cream, mix well. Pour it over the cake and level with a spatula.

Storage.

It keeps for about 4-5 days.

The best thing is to store it under a glass dome or in an airtight container for cakes, at room temperature.

Do not put it in the refrigerator! The cold tends to dry out the cake batter and make it lose its characteristic softness.
