Puff Pastry Wreath Filled with Spinach and Ground Beef

This Puff Pastry Wreath filled with Spinach and Ground Beef is quick to make. You can decorate it as you like, depending on the occasion for which you are preparing it, and it will beautify your table with simplicity and taste. You can decide to fill it with the ingredients you prefer, as long as they are not too watery, otherwise, they might spill out during cooking. I use spinach that I usually freeze in spring: I blanch them, drain them, form balls that I put in bags and then freeze.

Here are some recipes with spinach, each more delicious than the last

  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Economical
  • Preparation time: 45 Minutes
  • Portions: 8
  • Cooking methods: Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients

  • 2 puff pastry (round, each 230 g)
  • 9 oz ground beef
  • 12 oz spinach, cooked, boiled (squeezed)
  • 3.5 tbsp butter
  • 2 oz onion
  • 0.75 oz grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1.75 oz fresh spreadable cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • to taste fine salt

Steps

  • Thaw the spinach in the microwave for a few minutes. If you are using fresh spinach, clean them, blanch them, drain them, and squeeze out the excess water slightly. Now chop them well.

  • Melt the butter in a pan, add the finely chopped onion, and sauté.

  • Now add the previously chopped spinach and cook for a few minutes. Add the Parmesan cheese, stir, cook for a few more minutes, pour into a bowl, and let cool.

  • Brown the crumbled sausage in a pan.

  • Add the sausage to the spinach mixture.

  • Mix, add the eggs, the spreadable cheese, and adjust the salt. Now let it cool completely.

  • Cut each sheet of puff pastry into 8 triangles.

  • Form a crown with the triangles, slightly overlapping them at the base. Place them on the oven tray covered with parchment paper. I recommend placing a small bowl in the center, so you can make a more precise circle.

  • Now place the mixture all around, trying to distribute it evenly.

  • Fold the triangles to form a wreath.

  • Bake at 356°F for about 30 minutes.
