Ingredients
- 8 tortillas
- 1.1 lbs ground meat (mixed)
- 1.1 lbs tomato sauce
- 1.1 lbs canned red beans
- 2 pinches Chili pepper
- 1 bell pepper (pickled)
- 8 tbsps Parmigiano Reggiano DOP
- 8 tbsps sauce (yogurt-based white sauce)
- 2 tbsps Olive oil
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 2 tsps Sugar
- to taste Fine salt
- 4 Cloves
- 1 onion
Preparation
For the preparation of the Tortillas follow the recipe you find here.
However, you will need to double the doses indicated in the recipe link, as those are for 4 pieces.
Put the oil in a pan and sauté the minced meat for 5 minutes.
Then add the chopped onion, diced bell pepper, tomato sauce, and cook for another 5 minutes.
In the pan with the sauce add the garlic, sugar, chili pepper, cloves, adjust for salt, and cook for about 20 minutes.
Pour in the beans and let them absorb the flavors for another 10 minutes.
The sauce shouldn’t be too liquid.
Heat the tortillas in a pan.
Fill the tortillas with two tablespoons of the obtained mixture, add about a tablespoon of yogurt sauce and one of grated Parmesan to each.
Roll the burritos and serve hot.
Notes
You can also use fresh beans, but the times will be significantly longer, as you will need to boil the beans in plenty of salted water for about an hour.
If you prefer, you can use diced chicken breast instead of minced meat.
You’ll speed up the preparation time if you buy ready-made tortillas or use packaged flatbreads.
