The spiral shape makes them pretty, and making it is really easy: just roll a small piece of dough with your hands like making a spaghetti and then wrap it into a circle starting from the inside of the cookie.

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 eggs
- 6 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup almonds (coarsely chopped)
- as needed powdered sugar (for garnish)
Tools
- Baking Tray
- Mixer
Recipe
In a bowl, soften the butter at room temperature, then work it with the sugar.
Stir in the eggs and mix, then add the sifted flour and continue kneading.
Chop the almonds with a mixer and add them to the dough, knead the dough with your hands until it becomes homogeneous.
Take a piece of dough and roll it on a work surface, work it with the palms of your hands until you get a cord about 8 inches long. Then form spiral-shaped discs, starting from the center and working outward, and as you make them, place them directly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
It may happen that while forming the shortbread cord it breaks, you can easily reattach it and continue. Bake in a static oven at 390°F for about 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
Once they are baked, remove the treats from the oven and let them cool on a cookie rack. Here they are, your cookies with chopped almonds are ready to be enjoyed. All you have to do is sprinkle with powdered sugar, taste one immediately, and fill the cookie jar.
Storage and Tips
Storage: these cookies keep for 3-4 days in a closed cookie jar.
