Yogurt Cake – Sweet Recipe

Today I used some Yogurt for the yogurt cake sweet recipe I had at home that was about to expire, to make this simple and perfectly risen cake that Andrea then ate with some berries briefly heated in a pan with a tablespoon of sugar while I behaved well, enjoying it plain.

The yogurt cake is very pleasant and remains nice and soft even the next day…

The yogurt is a very ancient food obtained from a transformation of milk, to which lactic ferments are added, resulting in a dense cream, but with an acidic and pleasant taste, very rich in live cultures: every gram of yogurt contains about a billion live lactic bacteria.

Besides having a nutritional value equal to that of milk, yogurt is very digestible and also has detoxifying powers and serves as support for those undergoing antibiotic therapy.

Cake with yogurt

Ingredients YOGURT CAKE SWEET RECIPE

  • 4.2 oz soft butter
  • 6 oz Sugar
  • 8.8 oz All-purpose flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 3 medium eggs
  • 4.4 oz plain yogurt (I use low-fat)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 packet vanillin
  • to taste Powdered sugar (for decoration)

Tools YOGURT CAKE SWEET RECIPE

  • Sieve
  • Stand Mixer
  • Beat the soft butter and sugar with electric beaters until the mixture is fluffy,

    then flavor with the vanillin.

    Continue working, adding one egg at a time.

  • Now add the sifted flour and baking powder together.

    Finally, add the plain yogurt, always at room temperature.

    Place the mixture in the previously buttered and floured pan, leveling the batter well.

  • Bake in a preheated oven, the yogurt cake at 350°F for about 45 minutes (static oven).

  • Take the yogurt cake out of the oven, let it cool completely, preferably on a cake rack.

    Before serving the yogurt cake sprinkle it with powdered sugar!
