Semolina soup is a warm and comforting first course, easy and quick to prepare.
Semolina is a simple and traditional food in Italian cuisine, a coarsely ground durum wheat flour obtained from the first milling of the wheat, with a light yellow color and a more granular texture compared to remilled semolina. It is used in the diet of children, the elderly, people with digestive problems or in convalescence, because it provides energy in a simple and gentle way for the body.
Semolina soup is one of the most classic preparations using this ingredient and is a very popular dish in Italian home cooking, with a short cooking time and a soft and velvety consistency, liquid or thick depending on family habits, appreciated for its delicate taste, the warmth it offers, and its great digestibility.
