Perfect for breakfast, a snack, or a delicious dessert, these pastries are meant to be shared, perhaps accompanied by a cup of tea or coffee. One leads to another, and they always finish too quickly: a true temptation for both young and old.

Ingredients for Nutella Puff Pastries:
- 1 roll rectangular puff pastry
- 3 tablespoons nutella (generous 4)
- as needed milk (or beaten egg yolk)
- as needed hazelnut granules
- as needed powdered sugar
Tools for Nutella Puff Pastries:
- 1 Spatula for desserts
- Cookie cutters mixed plastic
- 1 Non-stick baking tray
- 1 Oven De Longhi
Steps for Preparing and Baking Nutella Puff Pastries:
Gently unroll the rectangular puff pastry on a work surface. Spread the nutella evenly over half of the pastry, fold the unfilled half over the nutella side, ensuring the edges align and pressing gently with your fingers.
Cut the pastries using cookie cutters in your preferred shape, to obtain many puff pastry cookies all the same. Place the pastries on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, well spaced apart. Gently brush the top with milk or, if you prefer a more golden surface, with beaten egg yolk with a dash of milk and finish with a sprinkle of hazelnut granules, which will make the pastries even more delicious and aromatic.
With the leftover puff pastry scraps, gather and compact them gently, without overworking, then roll them out with a rolling pin to obtain a thin rectangle (use parchment paper underneath to avoid nutella sticking, especially if your surface is wooden). At this point, fold the pastry towards the center first from the right side and then from the left side, as if closing it on itself, to form a narrower and neater rectangle.
Once you have this shape, cut the rectangle into slices approximately 3/4 inch thick and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper or in the air fryer basket. These leftover pastries are then baked alongside the others, resulting in simple yet equally flaky and delicious pastries.Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 15 minutes, until golden brown.
Air fryer cooking: cook the pastries at 340°F for about 8–10 minutes, placing them directly on the air fryer rack or on perforated parchment paper.
After baking, let the pastries cool completely on a wire rack: only when cooled can they be finished with a light dusting of powdered sugar, for an elegant and inviting result.
