Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • as needed peanut oil
  • 3.5 oz raisins (optional)

Preparation

  • Slowly combine the salt, lemon zest, milk pour and flour gradually;

    Mix with a spatula and combine everything. If you want, add the raisins. Add the baking powder and continue mixing;

    Heat the oil in a large pan and drop spoonfuls of the batter in;

    Fry for a few minutes, turning them until they are puffed and golden;

    Use a skimmer to place them on paper towels;

    Sprinkle with powdered sugar;

    Serve

If there are leftovers, store them in an airtight container for 1 day.
