Beef Hamburgers

I often prepare beef hamburgers at home, especially for the joy of the kids who love them. Try this recipe, you will love them too. We like them a bit thick, but if you prefer them thinner, you can easily put a little less meat in each hamburger and make one or two more with this amount.

  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Economical
  • Preparation time: 45 Minutes
  • Portions: 5 hamburgers
  • Cooking methods: Grill
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 1.1 lbs sausage meat
  • 2 oz Parmigiano Reggiano DOP (grated)
  • 2 eggs (medium)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 4 pinches fine salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper (ground)
  • 1 tsp chopped parsley (dried)

Tools

  • 1 Cutter Round shape

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the sausage meat, eggs, Parmesan, parsley, salt, pepper, garlic clove, and breadcrumbs.

Mix well with your hands until you get a well-blended mixture.

  • To make uniform mini hamburgers, I used a cutter; you can also make them by hand by pressing the meat to compact it. You will get 5 discs about 0.4 inches thick, weighing about 4.6 oz each.

If you want to use the cutter: divide the mixture into 5 parts of about 4.2 to 4.6 oz each, place each in the cookie cutter with a diameter of about 4 inches, press with a small jar, rotating it while removing to prevent the meat from sticking. Remove the cutter and place the hamburgers on a plate.

You will get five with these quantities.

You can cook your beef hamburgers in a non-stick pan or on the grill, turning them on both sides until well cooked.

To make the hamburgers, I used these cutters, which I find very handy not only for making cookies, but also for cutting puff pastry or Roman gnocchi dough. They are claimed to be made from food-grade plastic and meet the American FDA safety standards.

I find them very practical, easy to store, without sharp corners, so also suitable for children and with bright colors. You can use the smooth side or the flower side, both are very functional.
