Fashion Witch Fingers (Halloween)

And here is a new recipe, always in the Halloween theme, for cookies that absolutely cannot be missed during this celebration: Fashion Witch Fingers (Halloween). You might ask, why fashion? Well, because our witch got her nails done and applied nail polish, she cares about the care of her hands! 🙂

  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Economical
  • Rest time: 30 Minutes
  • Preparation time: 30 Minutes
  • Portions: About 22 cookies
  • Cooking methods: Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 7 tbsps Butter
  • 22 Blanched almonds
  • to taste Food coloring pens (colored)

Preparation

  • Place the flour in a mound on a pastry board, make a well in the center, add the eggs, the sugar, the cold butter cut into small pieces and start kneading, without overworking the ingredients, until the dough is smooth and no longer sticky. Place in the fridge for about half an hour.

  • Divide the shortcrust pastry into balls of about 1 oz, roll them out into sticks about 4 inches long. Attach the almond as if it were a nail.

  • With your index and middle fingers, apply light pressure as shown in the figure.

  • Use a knife to make small cuts over each pressure point to simulate the skin folds on the knuckles.

  • Bake in the oven at 356°F for 10/12 minutes, once they turn golden they are cooked. Once cooled, color the nails with the food coloring pens. If they detach use the gel from the food coloring pens as glue.

Suggestions/tips

To glue the almonds that detach from the fingers, you can also use some strawberry jam, it will create a blood effect.
