Mega burgers with egg and bacon are a truly indulgent dish, perfect for when you want to treat yourself with something delicious and satisfying. They are certainly calorie-dense, but in my opinion, sometimes you just need them. 🙂
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Economical
- Preparation time: 20 Minutes
- Portions: 4 people
- Cooking methods: Stove
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 1.1 lbs ground meat (mixed, beef and pork)
- 3 Eggs (medium)
- 3 tbsps Parmigiano Reggiano DOP (grated, about 1 oz)
- 1 tsp chopped parsley
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
- 4 pinches Fine salt
- 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1 mozzarella (about 4.4 oz)
- 1 Salad tomatoes
- 3.5 oz Mixed salad
- to taste Olive oil
- to taste Oregano
- to taste Fine salt
- 3.5 oz bacon (8 slices)
- to taste Ketchup
- to taste Mayonnaise
- 4 Hamburger buns
Preparation
In a bowl, mix the ground meat, eggs, Parmigiano, parsley, salt, pepper, garlic clove, and breadcrumbs.
Mix well with your hands until you get a well-integrated mixture.
To get evenly sized burgers, you can use a mold, or alternatively, you can also shape them by hand by pressing the meat together.
You will get 4 burgers.
Wash the tomato, slice it thinly, and season it with oil, salt, and oregano.
Fry the bacon until crispy. Set it aside on a plate.
Slice the mozzarella.
In the oven or toaster, warm the buns after cutting them in half.
In a pan with a bit of oil, cook the eggs, making sure to keep the yolk runny.
Cook the burgers in a large pan; once cooked, place the sliced cheese on top to slightly melt it.
Start assembling the burger: on the bottom bun, add a bit of sauce (mayonnaise, ketchup, or any other of your choice), then the salad, crispy bacon, tomato slices, the burger with cheese, and finally the egg.
Top with the upper half of the bun.
Tips
If you’re in a hurry, you can also use frozen or ready-made burgers, which will definitely speed up the preparation.
