Savory Pie with Speck, Provola, and Grilled Zucchini

This Savory Pie with Speck, Provola, and Grilled Zucchini is quick to prepare and truly delicious, ideal if you need to make dinner in a short time.

Ingredients

  • 1 Round Puff Pastry of 8 oz
  • 7 oz Sliced Speck
  • 5 oz Provola Cheese
  • 3 tablespoons Grated Parmigiano Reggiano
  • 1 cup Bechamel Sauce
  • 2 Grilled Zucchini

Preparation

  • Wash, clean the zucchini, and slice them thinly.

    Grill them on a very hot plate and set them aside.

    To always have grilled zucchini ready, prepare a lot at once and then freeze them, saving time when you need them.

  • Line a 9.5 inch diameter baking pan with parchment paper, and place the puff pastry on top.

    Make a first layer of grilled zucchini.

  • On top, grate the provola cheese with a coarse grater and then make another layer with the sliced speck.

  • Now make a new layer of grated provola, then one of grilled zucchini, one of sliced speck, sprinkle with béchamel sauce and cover with grated Parmigiano Reggiano.

    Place in the oven at 356°F for 30 minutes.

Tips/Advice

To always have grilled zucchini ready, I grill a lot at once and then freeze them, so I can use them anytime, saving time.
