Sausage and cabbage in a pan is a recipe we often enjoy at home because it is really flavorful and easy to prepare. Try it too; to make it heartier, we also add some sliced potatoes.
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Economical
- Preparation time: 30 Minutes
- Portions: 6 people
- Cooking methods: Stovetop
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 2 cabbages about 28 oz each
- 3.3 lbs pork sausages (12 sausages)
- 4 Potatoes
- to taste Fine salt
- to taste Ground black pepper
Preparation
Wash, peel, and slice the potatoes into slightly thick slices.
Clean the cabbage by removing the harder ribs and the tougher outer leaf parts, wash the leaves thoroughly.
Cut it into strips and set aside.
In a large pan, add a little oil, then add the sausages, the sliced potatoes on top, and finally the cabbage strips.
Cover with a lid and cook for about 30 minutes until both the cabbage, sausages, and potatoes are well cooked.
Adjust with salt and pepper.
If it’s too watery, let it dry for a few minutes at the end of cooking without the lid.
Tips/Advice
If the sausages are too thick, you can cut them in half lengthwise.
