Peas with Cooked Ham

Peas with cooked ham are a great side dish, ideal even for children who don’t like vegetables because the sweetness of the peas is enhanced by the taste of the meat. Easy to prepare even for beginners in the kitchen, you’ll love them as they’re a burst of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 10.5 oz peas
  • 3.5 oz diced cooked ham
  • 3.5 oz tomato puree
  • 2 pinches fine salt
  • to taste olive oil
  • to taste ground black pepper

Preparation

  • Put the oil in a large pan, then add the peas, the puree, the diced cooked ham, and a bit of salt.

    Cover with a lid, cook over medium heat for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    If it dries too much, add a little water.

    Adjust salt to taste, add pepper if desired.

    Serve hot.
