Welcome Spring!! I thought of preparing these small puff pastry flower pots as a joyful greeting to the beautiful season that has just arrived, but also to give a colorful farewell to the cold winter!
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Cheap
- Preparation time: 15 Minutes
- Cooking time: 20 Minutes
- Portions: About 12 flower pots
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 1 Puff Pastry (square, 8 oz.)
- 2.8 oz Prosciutto (sliced)
- 5 leaves Lettuce
- to taste Mayonnaise
Preparation
Unroll the puff pastry, cover half with the prosciutto slices.
Fold the other half over the one with prosciutto and use a rolling pin to thin the dough as much as possible.
Cut 2.4×3.5 inch rectangles and fold them like a fan, making sure the folds are not too large.
Place a piece of puff pastry to close the bottom and try to widen the top.
Bake at 356°F for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, finely chop two slices of prosciutto and a few leaves of lettuce.
Remove the flower pots from the oven, let them cool.
On the top, add a small layer of mayonnaise and sprinkle with the prosciutto and lettuce mixture.
Notes
These flower pots are very simple to make, you can also add some lettuce leaves or a sprinkle of grated Parmesan inside the puff pastry alongside the prosciutto.
