The Mozzarella Roll with Salmon is really a quick appetizer to prepare, with no cooking required and very tasty. We love this version with smoked salmon slices, but you can create many variations on the theme. Try it with Bayerland mozzarella sheet, it will be even more irresistible.
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Medium
- Preparation time: 15 Minutes
- Portions: 4 people
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 16 oz Mozzarella (sheet size approx. 11×9 inches)
- 4.5 oz Cream cheese
- 6 oz Smoked salmon (sliced)
- 0.7 oz Arugula
Preparation
Take a mozzarella sheet like the one in the photo, drain it from the preserving water, and place it on a towel.
Spread the cream cheese over the entire surface.
Place the smoked salmon slices on top and then the arugula.
Roll the sheet onto itself from the longer side.
Cut into slices and serve with arugula.
Tips/Advice
To make it firmer, you can wrap the rolled sheet in parchment paper and store it in the fridge for at least half an hour.
You can also fill the sheet with prosciutto or cooked ham instead of salmon, or add tomato slices, or even lettuce leaves if you don’t like the strong taste of arugula.
