A new savory pie recipe, for a change I decided to make it in a bundt pan to give it the shape of a ring. The Savory Bundt Cake with Bacon and Green Beans can be prepared for a picnic or a brunch with friends.
- Difficulty: Very easy
- Cost: Economical
- Preparation time: 50 Minutes
- Portions: 4 servings
- Cooking methods: Oven
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 12 oz Green beans (boiled)
- 7 oz Smoked bacon (diced)
- 4.5 oz Mozzarella (diced)
- 1.4 oz Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 5 Eggs
- to taste Black pepper
- to taste Parsley (chopped)
- to taste Butter
- 1/4 cup Milk
Preparation
Blend the green beans, previously boiled in salted water, in a mixer with the milk.
In a bowl, whisk the eggs together with the grated cheese, bacon, and diced mozzarella.
Add the blended green beans, chopped parsley, season with salt and pepper, and mix until the ingredients are well combined.
Butter a 11-inch diameter bundt pan, pour the mixture into it, and bake at 375°F for about 40 minutes, until the surface is golden.
Notes
I recommend draining the mozzarella in a strainer before using it, to prevent the bundt cake from becoming watery during cooking.
