Rolled Puff Pastry with Capocollo and Cheese

The Rolled Puff Pastry with Capocollo and Cheese is a tasty dish to discover slowly since the filling is only noticeable when you cut a slice! It’s a dish made with very few ingredients but is really delicious, ideal for a quick dinner with family or friends.

Ingredients

  • 1 puff pastry (rectangular)
  • 3.5 oz pork capocollo (thinly sliced)
  • 3.5 oz Cheese (thinly sliced, melting cheese)
  • to taste Sesame seeds
  • to taste Milk

Preparation

  • Unroll the puff pastry and sprinkle it with sesame seeds, then roll over it with a rolling pin to make them adhere better.

    Cut it into four strips of equal width and turn them with the sesame side down on the table.

    Place slices of capocollo on each strip of puff pastry, followed by slices of cheese.

    Roll them tightly, and if needed, sprinkle the edges with water to make them stick better.

    Place the four rolls thus obtained in a small baking pan lined with parchment paper, starting from the center and rolling outwards.

    Sprinkle again with sesame seeds and brush the surface with milk.

    Bake at 356°F for about 30 minutes.

Suggestions/advice

To speed up, you can lay the slices of capocollo and cheese on the entire puff pastry and cut it into strips afterward.

You can use the cheese you like the most, the important thing is that it is not too watery (for example, ideal are Emmenthal, provola, gouda).

The same goes for the cold cut, you can use the one you prefer.
